FinTech / BPO - Software and Services Subsidiary of a Global 50 Manufacturing and Financial Services Company
Background: Retained by senior management to determine how to improve performance and best commercialize a domestic financial services software and business process outsourcing subsidiary, maximize the value of the commercial opportunities, and position the entity for sale, investment, or combination. The software was a mortgage origination portal and deal process platform which was just a bit ahead of the market. The subsidiary also offered portfolio management support and transaction due diligence services to third parties on a national level. The subsidiary was operating as a cost center for the parent with the goal of becoming a revenue / profit center that would reduce overall parent expenses and contribute to the parent's bottom line. Subsidiary revenues were in the mid eight figures.
